The four girls reunite at Brisbane airport and start driving North to Hervey Bay. Iris & Egon pick up the Toyota Landcruiser Wagon 4WD, stuff all the groceries in it and cross over to Fraser Island. The four girls arrive later that evening and are reunited with the couple. The party of six spend a wonderful 4 days on the island.
Day 22: Kaat & Nien leave the island in the morning, the rest is scheduled to leave in the evening. Nien flies back to Sydney. Kaat picks up the parked campervan. Lots of things go wrong.

Day 27: Iris & Egon make it to Sydney, the party is complete again! New year’s eve is celebrated in style and our main characters enjoy their last few days in Sydney together.
Day 29: Yais flies back to Singapore, closely followed by Iris & Egon who will continue their trip into Vietnam and Cambodia after a weekend in Singapore.
Day 30: Nina, Mir and Kaat go on a weekend trip to the Blue Mountain, after which Mir & Kaat go on a Safari to Alice Springs.

Act I, Scene 1, Day 17: How Yaisa almost managed to miss her flight to Sydney.
At Yaisa’s home in Singapore
Kaat: Hey Yais, shouldn’t you be going to the airport?
Yais: Oh, plenty of time, Singapore airport is really efficient, you only need to be there one hour before departure… but yeah, I’ll get going!
(After saying goodbyes, Yaisa jumps in a taxi and arrives at the airport)
Yaisa: Good evening, I would like to check in for the flight to Sydney departing in 60 minutes!
Ground staff: Hmm, you don’t seem to have a visa for Australia, miss!
Yaisa: Damn, that’s right, completely forgot… can I get one somewhere now?
Ground staff: Yes, customer services can help you….
(Yaisa runs to the customer services office, manages to get a visa in 25 minutes and runs back to check in)
Yaisa: Good evening, I would like to check in for the flight to Sydney departing in 35 minutes!
Ground staff: Hmm, could I have the credit card number you paid the ticket with?
Yaisa: Damn, that’s my old credit card… I got a new one a few weeks ago… I DON’T KNOW MY OLD CREDIT CARD NUMBER! But you have my passport, my eticket number…. Can’t you issue the ticket?
Ground staff: Sorry miss, I need the credit card number, otherwise you’ll have to buy another ticket at customer services…
Yaisa: I’m not going to pay twice for my ticket!! Wait, I have an idea…
(She grabs her mobile)
Yaisa: Kaat, HELP! I’m so glad you’re in my house! You have to find my agenda and look up my old credit card number… I think I wrote it down somewhere!
Kaat: OK, hold on…. Yep, found it!
Yaisa: Thank god… OK, got it! Thanks and see you in two days in Brisbane!
Kaat: Yep! Will enjoy your pool in the meantime!
Ground staff: OK miss, this is the correct number, here is your ticket, please go straight to the boarding gate!
Yaisa: Sure!
(Yaisa runs through customs, makes a quick stop a the duty free shop for some essentials and makes it to the gate 15 minutes before departure)
Who ever said Singapore airport was not efficient…?

Act II, Scene 1, Day 18: How a branch got stuck in under the 4WD...
On Fraser Island, just after the six friends are reunited and on their way to the beach villa where they will spend the next four nights. It’s dark and the road is bumpy, Egon is driving.
Someone: I’m hearing something funny… are you hearing something funny?
Someone else: Yeah, sounds like something is stuck…
Someone else: Yep, I'm hearing it too...
Iris: Egon! Didn’t you see that branch in the middle of the road? Did you drive over the branch perhaps?
Egon: I don’t know, I didn’t see… I’ll pull over…
Mir: I’ll check… Let me get out…. Yeah… It’s a branch and it’s stuck under the wheel!
All: Hahaha… great job Egon, at least we got the adventure started early!
(While Mir & Egon crawl under the car, the rest of the party has some fun taking pictures of them… 20 minutes later, they manage to get the branch out. Only a cable seems to be damaged, but after some checks, the car seems to work fine, so the party drives on).
Always avoid branches on dirt roads on Fraser Island….

Act II, Scene 2, Day 19: How Iris fed the Dingo
On Fraser Island, by one of the beautiful lakes. The six friends get out of the 4WD carrying a coolbox with their picknick.
Someone: Hey, do you see that sign? We’re not allowed to consume any food on the beach!
Someone else: Oh, it’s probably jsut because they want to keep the beaches clean…
Egon: Yeah, I’m really hungry, I'm sure we can eat...
Yaisa: And I would love a glass of wine to go with it!
All: OK, let’s picknick!
(Egon galantly makes sandwiches for all the ladies and lastly for himself. Everybody is enjoying the beautiful view and the delicious tuna sandwiches)
Mir: Oh oh, a dingo, there, on the beach! It must have smelled our food!
Iris: Aaaah, I don’t want my sandwich anymore, I want to get rid of it!
(Iris throws her sandwich 5 meters away from her onto the beach, where it lands approximately 3 meters from Mir & Yaisa. The dingo thinks it’s his lucky day, sprints to the manna that fell down from heaven and gobbles it down in 2 seconds… He then turns his head in the wind and smells there is more…)
Yaisa: Shit, I still have half of my sandwich! What to do?
(On an impulse, she completely stuffs it in her mouth and, munching slowly, keeps a close watch on the wild dog. The rest throws their sandwich back in the coolbox and the six friends watch the dingo slowly walk away…)
Egon: That’ll teach me to make sandwiches for ladies first! Next time, I’m eating my own sandwich first, I only had one bite and I’m really hungry! Maybe I’ll get mine out again and eat it quickly…
Iris: NO WAY! I want to go, I hate dogs, I hate dingo’s!
(Laughs and giggles by all, as they break up the picknick after finishing the wine and enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the beach).
Never ignore signs on Fraser Island….
