Hello!
Just before I fly off the Holland, here are a few pictures of some of the Singapore highlights we visited with Viola & Betty. It was great having them over and showing them around... Hope these photo's give you a good impression of Singapore!

Also, I don't to withhold you the story of my birthday bash at the office...
Unlike in Holland where it's the birthday boy/girl who buys the cake, treats the colleagues and if lucky, gets a CD voucher in return, here in Singapore it's the colleagues who buy a cake for the birthday victim. They send round an email to all the colleagues to gather in the pantry in secret, the boss then talks the victim into the pantry with a lame excuses (let's have a cup of coffee... ??? strange, he never drinks coffee...) and there it is, a banana chocolate cake, WITH A PINK CANDLE!!! And then of course everybody sings "Happy Birthday to you" to embarrass the victim even more... To top it off, the victim has to blow out the candle, and it's made sure that a wish is made doing so... And Timmo was in on this and allowed it to happen!!!
Oh well, it was all very funny and the cake was very good. As I had bought cake as well, following Dutch tradition, it was a day of plenty and I felt like a real birthday girl!

Ha ha! Klinkt als een nieuwe NL'se traditie! Ons motto is namelijk dat we de mensen moeten blijven verrassen! Klinkt als een surpsise (keer of 30 per jaar in mijn kantoortuin);-)
